What CBD Form Is Right For You?

Cannabidiol has seen a massive evolution in the last few years. Since its legalisation in the UK in 2015, cannabidiol has shifted from not only serving the medical marketplace but the recreational too. It’s unsurprising that so many people have cottoned on to the massive benefits of cannabidiol, which has gone on to aid people in sleep, anxiety and pain relief, all whilst still serving as a legitimate form of medication for many different ailments.

Whether your preference is a PAX 3 vaporiser or a tincture, there’s a form for you. However, if you’re thinking of trying out cannabidiol products for the first time, it’s a good idea to do some research before purchasing. Each form that CBD takes comes with its own benefits and setbacks. This blog will outline what each form can give users, and their practicalities and foibles.

CBD Flowers

CBD flowers are the most natural form of cannabidiol. Whilst they may not be as potent or tasty as vape liquids, they give a unique and authentic flavour. Furthermore, you have many options for using CBD flowers, whilst you can smoke it, it’s much healthier to vape it but this requires buying a vaporiser with an oven compartment. Furthermore, whilst it’s the most natural form of cannabidiol, CBD flowers are a little less potent and efficient than vape liquids and concentrates due to the fact that the cannabidiol extract hasn’t been honed and concentrated into its purest form.

CBD Tinctures

CBD tinctures are probably one of the most potent forms of cannabidiol on this list, but probably the least pleasant tasting. Usually dripped onto the bottom of the tongue, CBD tinctures are made from strained cannabidiol plant material that has been steeped in an alcohol solution. Several drops of this are then placed on the tongue and absorbed by the bloodstream. CBD tinctures provide effective and lasting effects and only take about 15 minutes to kick in. Just remember to have a glass of water ready, you might not like the taste!

CBD Oil

CBD hemp oils take between an hour and two hours to kick in but have a versatility unrivalled by their counterparts. CBD oil is cannabidiol extract placed in a carrier oil such as coconut or palm and is usually added to food or drink. The taste is subtle, especially when it’s added to food and there are a great many concentrations – up to 5000 mg per 30 ml bottle. Remember that the higher the CBD concentration, the pricier your oil will most likely be.

CBD Edibles

Usually made using CBD carrier oils, edibles can be anything you want them to be. Remember, however, that these will most likely take a few hours to kick in as edibles must be digested and broken down by the liver before you feel their effects.

CBD Vape Liquids

CBD vape juice UK is fast-acting and come in a range of concentrations that increase steadily in price. With up to 83 mg per milligram concentrations available, you’ll also find many e-liquids containing unique and tasty flavours.

CBD Supplements

Supplements can be combined with many other health products for a daily dose of CBD. of course, this will take a little while to kick in but is usually used recreationally to aid sleep and maintain calm and focus throughout the day.

CBD Creams

CBD creams are popular for anti-inflammatory and muscle injuries. As a pain reliever, CBD cream is absorbed by the skin and encourages cell growth and pain relief chemicals to be released into the area. Don’t expect the calming benefits with creams though, these products focus on the affected area rather than the whole body.
